"In nature I find I am closest to the Divine, and am constantly in awe of the beauty and perfection found there. Since very young I have wished I could replicate these outstanding images that show themselves to me as art. In finally getting a digital camera, my dream was answered and now when I hear that call to "take this shot" I am able to.

I love the elemental nature of clay – how earth, water, air and fire can yield infinite combinations of tactile, textural beauty. Leaning toward earth-toned glazes, I make objects for everyday use in the home that can become ritual containers for the daily sacrament of food and drink.
Six years ago I discovered that the art of henna body adornment fit my creative desires perfectly. This 6000 year old tradition, first discovered in Turkey, believed to be permeated with positive energy, is used in most religions for blessing ceremonies. The beautiful designs lasting 1-3 weeks and it's ancient herstory has grabbed my heart forever! The natural henna stain, made from the henna leaf, is a unique and safe way that all people can express and empower themselves.

Touch the Earth, a Native American expression, represents the concept that through physically touching the soil one can touch the soul of our planet and be at peace within the universe. I have found the best way to 'touch the earth' is on my knees, in the garden, pulling weeds. I live in a small home with a large adjoining studio and shop where I can create and hand print original designs to bring light your quiet, meditative spaces.
